The
QuickSilver-RT telecine will transfer both super 8 and regular 8mm
film in one, easy to use unit. It is the ideal unit for the small business
or individual looking to transfer large quantities of 8mm or Super 8 home
movies on a budget. The QuickSilver-RT has a hyper-precise electronic sync
circuit that maintains hands-off, flicker-free transfers from beginning
to end and incorporates a built-in 1CCD camera
for real-time scanning off the
enlarged gate
for access to 100% of the film frame. No computer is required. Unlike other
transfer units that crop the image and shoot off the softer, base side
of the film, the QuickSilver-RT images off the sharper, emulsion side of
the film for maximum clarity. Rated at just under 500 lines, the built-in
camera bypasses the condenser lens assembly for increased resolution and
a smaller footprint,
allowing
the installation of the QuickSilver-RT into the tightest of workspaces,
without regard to lighting conditions. A diffused light source reduces
the appearance of scratches, and fewer optical surfaces to keep clean means
less maintenance and increased productivity. The QuickSilver-RT comes with
a super bright, ultra-cool LED light source that will protect the film
from burning or warpage. White balance can be locked or left in auto to
color correct as the film runs. A handy, jumbo LCD confidence monitor can
be switched from camera to an outside source, such as a DVD recorder or
tape deck, making instant verification after a transfer a breeze without
having to move the DVD or tape to another deck.
The
QuickSilver-RT has sprocketless drive, which is not only safer for the
film but allows instant change over from 8mm to super 8 and back. Separate
zoom, rotate, tilt and pan controls allows easy reframing of the image
without tools, special skills or loss of time. Click HERE
to see how it works! Oversized focus knob and convenient placement makes
focusing a snap. Adjustable framer allows for vertical frame line compensation.
The unit has both auto and manual exposure and a handy remote control knob
or panel preset lets you fine tune the exposure for maximum shadow and
highlight detail in the film.
Our
unique virtual shutter allows for two built-in running speeds: NTSC can
be run at 15 or 20fps. PAL can be run at 16.66 or 20fps. Easy to use controls
limit the need for specialized labor. Easy-as-pie manual threading and
the sprocketless drive protects your customers' films from the potential
damage typically found on other sprocket driven projectors and auto-load
transfer devices. Manual unload of the film in mid-reel is a breeze due
to the removable side cover and sprocketless film path.
Quality
imaging and simplicity of use is why MovieStuff telecine units are number
one,
worldwide.
Technical stuff:
Output is uncompressed Y/C, commonly called
SVHS or S-video.
To record to a computer, you will need
a quality analog to digital convertor like the Canopus ADVC series.
The QuickSilver-RT
has a maximum capacity of 400 feet (take up reel included). This unit has
a universal internal switching power supply that can run on 100-256VAC
at 50 or 60 cycles, so no transformer is required for international use.
